Knit for WLB

I like winter moderately. I don't get SDD usually during these months because I do like the inability to be distracted to go outside of my working lab and focus on designing and creating!
I love being able to curl up with my hubs, dog, and warm blanket and knit-n-knit-n-knit while watching good shows and movies on NetFlix. I am one of those people who are obsessed with multi-tasking or I feel I have wasted time. Something must always be accomplished!
So in the winter I like to knit. I always knit little zippered pouches that I sell on withlovebunny.etsy.com. One was even featured in the Nov. 26th 2010 email newsletter for OOAK items! Of course it sold and is hopefully in a happy new home!
I need new tight-gloves though for my crafts because the others' elasticity have failed from overuse from last year. I need them for my arthritic joints even though I am only 28, I do work hard! Anyway, I hope you enjoy my craZy creations as much as I enjoy making them.

Excited for Sales

Twitter Really Does Tweet

I have a Twitter account for With Love, Bunny but never really used it on account of, I do not have internet on my phone (by choice!) so I'd only tweet once in a while if I remembered to.

I have found that when I do a status update, I have a ton more direct traffic to my etsy store, and that's awesome! (Thanks to Statsy for that app!)

Anyway, I would really love to have everything connected and be able to update and go to ALL my sites and apps. It would make life just easier.

Inspired By AIW

I am excitedly continuing a Fashion Line that I had created during college back in 2004, inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Currently, after the movie came out, I have noticed many others have been equally inspired.

I will be adding WLB Handbags to the collection. I have finished a very elaborate Queen of Hearts Clutch and am currently working on a Mad Hatter bag. The inspiration is very clear and as many of my pieces are, very expressive. There will be more handbags in the line: (Possibly an Alice), Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit and Caterpillar...The fashion costumes will be modeled hopefully by my sister and myself...(oh geez hopefully if I can even still fit into model size-( I weighed only 104 back then!) ..LOL) and hopefully they have held up in storage and will be doing the photo shoot in May or June 2010.

I am collecting props and making extra accessories that I may or may not sell at my etsy shop: withlovebunny.etsy.com.

Chaos

I go many days without being physically able to create something. It is utter chaos in my mind. But life is funny. Just today I started the day in total chaos. My alarm did not go off and I had 15 minutes to get ready and get to the dentist. And it wasn't just any appointment. It was the 4th time they were going to open up my tooth and finish this disasterous root canal with the Specialist that only comes into the office once a month!

So I wake up and rush to take all my morning prescriptions, wash my face and brush my teeth (they were going to be working in them after all!) and force the dog to go outside while I start the car--only to find frost on the windshield (seriously, after all these days without) and then I let Bender back in and rush out of the driveway to see a elementary school bus picking up a kid, blocking it off, the Mom taking forever to say goodbye as I frantically put my blinker on and wait for the second they pull away to screech out of the driveway. I get there in record time and end up waiting. All in all, the difficult 2 hour procedure went fine and now I am in pain.

So I get home, take Bender out for a partial -real- walk, try to eat my delish leftover G&D's gyro (I thought ahead and bought it yesterday knowing that I was going to need something soft today), and come online and check all my emails, Facebook, Etsy etc. before I have to go to work today at 1pm; and am stoked to find out that a member on Etsy has posted a treasury featuring my Britney Spears' Inspired "Chaotic" Handbag, www.withlovebunny.etsy.com in a treasury called Chaos & Disorder.

Life is funny...and coincidental.

Today I Will Begin A Blog

There are so many ways to promote and advertise products, that it sometimes feels useless and completely hopeless to even try. Do I really think that I need to start a blog about bags, purses, and handbags? Um, Yeah.

Maybe.

But then again, will it even get read? Are people sick of the shameless self-promotion of my Handbag biz, With Love, Bunny....? Are you the type that looks at all the pics on the facebook fan page or updates from twitter...but never comment?

Just one more tool this blog will be for getting attention to my passion, my direct creative outlet, my purpose for designing... creating...breathing.

Well, maybe not breathing. But without this, I feel like I can't.
